Shandrani Beachcomber is a 4-star superior resort on the south-east coast of Mauritius that is a leading choice for families, honeymoon couples and the conference and incentive groups market due to the excellent value included in the package price – the resort is a favourite with many South Africans who return year after year. The all-inclusive packages offer something for everyone: included in the Serenity All-Inclusive Package are many drinks options plus a variety of snacks, lunch at a choice of venues, and more, while the Serenity Plus Premium Package includes a wide variety of premium brands as the name suggests, plus further activities and experiences for those choosing to stay seven nights, and longer. Shandrani Beachcomber has become well known for its spacious accommodation and superb facilities, not to mention a 9-hole mashie golf course. Spacious apartments and inter-leading rooms are perfect for the family market, while the plethora of sporting activities on offer will provide endless fun for adventurous groups. 

ACCOMMODATIONS: 

SUPERIOR ROOMS

These rooms hug the coastline of the peninsula Shandrani Beachcomber is located on and consist of a split-level room with the semi-private en-suite bathroom on a raised platform behind the bedroom. The bedroom area consists of the sleeping area and day-bed adjacent to a writing desk. The bathroom has shuttered doors allowing a view through the sliding doors towards the sea when open and consists of a bath separate to the shower, double basins and a separate toilet.

DELUXE ROOMS

Located in the quieter area of the resort towards the tip of the peninsula, these upper-floor well-proportioned rooms offer a sitting area in the bedroom with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath, separate shower, double basins, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet. There is a balcony area for relaxing. Regretfully upper-floor inter leading Deluxe rooms are not available. 

DELUXE ROOMS (GROUND FLOOR)

Located in the quieter area of the resort towards the tip of the peninsula these well-proportioned rooms offer a sitting area in the bedroom with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath, separate shower, double basins, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet. A terrace offers an additional area for relaxing. While inter leading rooms are available they are limited in number. 

FAMILY APARTMENTS

Located in the quieter area of the resort these family units measure a total of 75 square metres and consist of a Deluxe room for the parents with an additional room for the children with their own en-suite bathroom consisting of a shower, toilet and basin. The parents’ Deluxe room offers a sitting area in the bedroom with en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath, separate shower, double basins, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet. A balcony or terrace offers additional room for relaxing. 

DELUXE FAMILY APARTMENTS

Located in the quieter area of the resort on the first floor only, these family units are made up of two inter leading Deluxe rooms and measure a total of 120 square metres. The Deluxe rooms are well proportioned – each room offers a sitting area in the bedroom with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath, separate shower, double basins, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet. Each room offers a balcony for relaxing.

SENIOR SUITES

Located on the peninsula with direct beach access from the terrace, these suites are designed for optimum comfort and romance. The open-plan layout of the bathroom and bedroom creates a comfortable environment for relaxing with a circular bath behind the large double bed, all positioned for the best views of the sea beyond the glass terrace doors. The adjacent lounge offers a sitting area with flat screen TV and DVD player with writing desk. The total area measures 110 square metres. 

FAMILY SUITES

This is a duplex-style suite perfect for a family. The 206 square metres includes a children’s bedroom upstairs and parents’ bedroom downstairs, both with en-suite bathroom which consist of a shower with separate circular bath, toilet and double basins. The parents’ bathroom opens up into a private walled garden. An open-plan lounge and dining room area are found on the ground floor together with a guest toilet. The lounge opens up onto a deck in a low-walled garden located a few steps away from the beach and sea.

BARS AND RESTAURANTS 

BLUE BAY BAR   

The main bar offers a selection of mouth-watering cocktails. Kick back with the drink of your choice while you enjoy the evening’s entertainment and dance the night away to a live band or DJ.

LE SIRIUS BAR

Le Sirius Bar at the poolside of the Sirius restaurant is the place for a quiet evening drink or cocktail after dinner. Baguettes are served from late morning until late afternoon.

LE GRAND PORT RESTAURANT

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on a wide terrace, ensuring an authentic beach-holiday feel, enjoy the endless variety of the breakfast buffet overlooking an inviting, sparkling swimming pool. Live cooking awaits you at Le Grand Port.

LE SIRIUS RESTAURANT

A seasonal restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Set at the edge of a swimming pool, with a spectacular view of Blue Bay. An a-la-carte menu boasts Mauritian gourmet dishes, some at a supplement, while a daily changing set menu, which is included in the half-board package, is also on offer.

TEAK ELEPHANT RESTAURANT

This specialty restaurant is open only for dinner. Enjoy romantic lighting, understated opulence and a tranquil atmosphere, as you dine in style from a meticulously crafted Thai menu that is presented as a collection of dishes per course. Regret no children under 12 years. 

PONTE VECCHIO RESTAURANT

This restaurant focuses on boatloads of flavour synonymous with the cuisine of Italy. Paired with great international wine choices, this is a dining experience to relive throughout your stay. Open for dinner and lunch seasonally. An a-la-carte menu at a supplement is available, and a daily changing set menu, which is included in the half-board package, is also on offer.

EPHEMERA RESTAURANT

This unique eatery thrills guests with Paella dishes and other specialities and offers a daily menu plus a-la-carte dining for dinner. 

LE BOUCANIER RESTAURANT

This seafood eatery has an extravagant set menu on offer each evening that features lobster – it is located in the Sirius complex and is open for dinner six days a week.
