The Standard Lodge Rooms offer a comfortable and basic overnight stay with en suite shower. These rooms are designed for easy going travellers on a budget and has no view of the reserve.

Standard Lodge Rooms have twin beds which can be made up to queen size beds.

The lodge accommodation is conveniently located next to the restaurant and mezzanine bar with access by stairs and lift. The lodge accommodation also has parking for ease of access.

The Premier Lodge Rooms are furnished with a useful sleeper couch for afternoon leisure time or can accommodate one child for an overnight stay. The rooms offer en suite bath and shower facilities with reserve views from the bath.

KAROO COTTAGES
These Karoo style cottages offer a standard overnight safari experience. The cottages offer a unique and rustic feel with small additions like an indoor fireplace, outdoor shower, corner bath and small patio. The cottages are aligned with the reserve and situated on a dry Karoo river bed. Walk ways from the main safari lodge area and restaurant give these cottages a personal feel with ease of access to communal services and facilities.

FAMILY LUXURY COTTAGES
These cottages are semi-detached offer an intimate family safari experience. The rooms have stone and thatch finishes with patios opening up onto the wide open space lawns of the main lodge area. The rooms are in close proximity to the children’s adventure zone while children sleep tucked away under the eaves in a charming loft area overlooking the main bedroom below.

The family cottages are ideal for two adults and two kids sharing only, while two of the cottages can accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids in a three bedroom configuration.

The rooms offer classic furniture with earthy décor and an en suite bathroom with a corner bath tub. These rooms are in within the main lodge area and offer ease of access to the communal services and also have private parking.

The Premier Cottages offer a rustic Karoo overnight safari experience with the units privately positioned on the hillside – built in harmony with the rock – which is the focal point in the large bathrooms and alfresco showers. These cottages also offer a private wood deck patio with amazing panoramic reserve views while guests enjoy unforgettable Karoo sunsets.

At check-in, guests in the Premier Cottages get to enjoy a complimentary bottle of house wine and they can opt to replace one game drive with a horseback adventure.

AQUILA CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT AREA
Aquila offers an indoor and outdoor children’s play area, with a variety of activities aimed at toddlers to pre-teens. The outside area has a mini-golf course, a sandpit and a wooden playground to delight your little ones. Offering daily activities and Junior Ranger program. The Children’s area is open from 8am to 8pm daily.

     
THE AQUILA JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAMME INCLUDES
Aquila Safari is a malaria-free child and family friendly private game reserves and the Kids Adventure Zone and Junior Ranger Programme is designed for children visiting our reserve – filled with fun and interactive activities.

While enjoying the Junior Ranger Programme, children will learn and discover new experiences and have unforgettable moments in the Karoo. The programme will stimulate their young minds and introduce them to some simple conservation practices.

Before your kids travel and join us to have a wild time, make sure they have comfortable clothes, closed shoes, a sun hat and sufficient sun block lotion.
